Fugliegh 9: Coyote Fugly

Filed under: Fugliegh — anadandy @ 1:26 pm

Carmen Patch arrives to investigate Sheldon’s claim of bugs. She wanders around the entire house looking giving both Sheldon and Ramin plenty of time to chat up the homely exterminator. Sheldon gets a few relationship points, but Ramin is the top scorer, chatting her up for a good long time. That’s enough to get her on the call list and Crespin finds potentially betrothed before he even becomes a child.

Sheldon’s good luck must have all been used up on snagging Carmen, because the next time he goes to work he loses his job. Apparently his boss would have preferred he buy her kids some toys rather than take her out to dinner – who knew. He falls into a funk, but jumps back into the working world with a job as a bookie.

There is a quick spate of aging in the Fughliegh household as Asinette becomes an elder, Crespin becomes a child (not hideous, but still sporting a promising nose) and Gabria at long last becomes an adult, albeit a pretty one. Best friend Sheldon takes her by the hand and proclaims his undying love, which Gabria returns in kind. She proposes and the two are married that very evening. They leave their party guest (Abjiheet D – Gabria’s only non household friend) and WooHoo for the first time. No lullaby, so the pair takes a quick bathroom break, sees that there is enough time before the honeymoon limo arrives and tries again. This time it’s a success.

The death of Christy caused the family friends roster to take a huge hit, plummeting from 23 to 9 – most of which are Asinette and Ramin’s. Both Gabria and Sheldon start working on make some new friends. Sheldon works on the delivery people Marylena Hamilton and Mitch Wolensko while Gabria chats up good old Benjamin Long. Young Crespin is even allowed to call that annoying brat Marsha Brueger on the phone, because despite being introduced to Carmen he can’t call her yet.

Asinette becomes Captain Hero, but takes some of her vacation left over from her maternity leave to stay home and coach Ramin who is nearing his last days and wants to maximize all his skills. Crespin becomes a teen (Popularity) and is sufficiently goofy looking that Ramin invites Carmen to move in so she can be trained up as Crespin’s mate.

Gabria gives birth to D’Argo and his infancy passes in the usual fashion of being ignored until green stink lines come out of the crib. He ages into a toddler who appears to have a large forehead, but otherwise looks like every other toddler. Ramin rolls up wants to teach him everything, so I let him have at it. The evening after he finishes teaching D’Argo to talk, Ramin meets his maker happily platinum. Asinette takes a huge hit and becomes my first Sim to go crazy and require the Sim shrink. God debates whether to burn her locked “maximize all skills want” even though she still has at least a week of life left. All her other wants are at the moment unattainable, such as seeing Ramin’s ghost when we all know a newly dead person rarely haunts until several days later. She’s not willing to risk being saved from death in her current aspirational failure.

So, she’s forced to wallow in unhappiness for a bit. The next day she rolls up wants to see Bacheek and Christy’s ghosts and as luck would have it, they are the designated haunters for the night. Asinette chases them around the backyard and is scared three times, the last being a double header of See Ghost and See Bacheek’s Ghost. Safely back in platinum, Asinette goes to bed.
